A chilling double murder has sent shockwaves through south-east Delhi after a woman and her teenage son were found brutally stabbed to death inside their house in Govindpuri during the early hours of Thursday. Police suspect the killings may be linked to a major robbery, with cash and valuables worth several lakh rupees reported missing from the home after the attack.

The gruesome crime came to light when the woman’s husband, who works as a vegetable trader, returned home from the weekly market and found his wife and son lying motionless in the kitchen area. He discovered the bodies lying in a pool of blood inside the kitchen, triggering panic in the neighbourhood and a massive police investigation.
